Rainbow Society social at GEAR-Center

By Gary Hoogenboom The Buckeye Rainbow Society of the Deaf held a Wine and Cheese Social at the Gear Foundation Building in Cleveland on Saturday, May 30th. The event was attended by thirty-nine people. It began at about 7:00 p.m. and continued until about ten.

WomynFair

The Tenth Muse-Kent Women's Coffeehouse is going to bring to the area womyn's community the 1st Annual WomynFair--a summer festival of food, fun, talent, and goods. It will be held on Sunday, July 26, 1981 starting at 12:00 Noon. The location will be behind the Coffeehouse building at 202 N. Lincoln St. in Kent.

All womyn are encouraged to participate and set up a booth to sell or display goods including food, arts & crafts, pottery, artwork, games, antiques, photography, information tables, or anything creative. There will be live music and The Tenth Muse will sponsor an auction of some sort.

The fee for sponsoring a booth is $5.00 and if a table is provided by The Muse the fee is $6.50. Electricity may or may not be available; if it is important that it be provided contact the Muse at the number below. There will be access to water if needed. Booth space will resemble 7-8 feet of primarily yard; however, there will be access to the Coffeehouse if a display needs to be inside.. There is plenty of parking available, and festivities will continue until dusk. In the event of rain, WomynFair will be postponed one week until August 5.

the Buckeye Rainbow Society of the Deaf to the party. Similar to the State of Ohio Seal, it is used for embossing important documents and awards of the Society. A number of awards given to members were officially sealed at the party and members wishing to have other awards sealed by the Society may bring them to future meetings.

Plans for "Danny Boy" Nel-. son's presentation of a skit at the National Convention were completed. Members who saw

"Danny Boy's" dress rehearsal two weeks ago expressed the opinion that he will probably leave his San Francisco audience in stitches. The skit is a solo pantomime. ·

Members and guests of B.R.S.D. wish to thank all those at the Gear Foundation for their help in having made the Wine and Cheese Party a success. The comfortable atmosphere and amenities which were available to B.R.S.D. helped to make the event go.smoothly.
